Okay, so as you can tell, I've gotten off to a slow start with this whole blogging thing. I wrote my first entry and had every intention of sending out the address to everyone and I did nothing of the sorts. So this is my second attempt.
Dane and I had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving, as we spent it in Beaverton with my parents. It was quiet and low key and exactly what I needed. There was lots of food to graze on all day, plenty of football and adult beverages to keep Dane and my dad happy for the day and a delicious turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Later that night after some naps were taken, the four of us got into a rousing game of Phase Ten. It's a fun card game that my parents just bought, but unfortunately we were subjected to my mother's extreme competitive side. My dad was able to lay down all of his cards before my mom could even play once and she had a once in a lifetime hand that was wasted. I've never seen my mom get so worked up over a game before...bright red face, shrieking, eyes all big with a look of "crazy" in them...it was quite a show! :) And Dane wonders where I get my competitive side from. All in all it was a wonderful couple of days and I was sad to see it come to an end. We came home on Friday and still had a great weekend full of friends, football and of course delicious food. It was the perfect four day weekend!
Unfortunately I don't have any pictures available to post with this, but I promise that my next one will. I've been meaning to get picutres of Anna's nursery sent out, so that will be my next mission. Hope everyone else had a wonderful holiday weekend...the countdown to our next big event has started...Anna's arrival is due to happen two weeks from today!! WE ARE SO EXCITED!!!! :)

Peer Pressure
After checking my friend's blog pages on a daily basis and LOVING the fact that I was able to feel updated and included in their everyday lives, I thought it was about time to start our own blog. It helped that Sara and Brittany kept saying how easy it was to set up...and they were right. I don't know why I waited this long to get one going! With our newest little addition arriving in only four short weeks, I thought that was a good reason to keep everyone updated with posts and pictures. Anna is going to be here before we know it and I'm sure family and friends will be anxious to hear all the hilarious stories of Dane and I tripping over ourselves trying to pretend like we know what we're doing. :) I will try my best to keep this updated as the weeks pass and Anna makes her way into our world!
